June 21, 2025 – A high-level delegation from the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), led by Chairperson Mr. Constantine Kudzedzi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGC) at the Gas House.
The delegation met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay, and her two deputies, Dr. Robert Lartey and Mr. Rene Nelson, to strengthen institutional collaboration and address pressing issues affecting the sustainability of Ghana’s energy industry.
This was contained in a press statement issued and signed by the Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Mr. Richard Ernest Kirk-Mensah, on behalf of the company and copied to the media.
The engagement emphasized the importance of continuous partnership between PIAC and Ghana Gas to drive shared goals in transparency, efficiency, and energy sector development. Both institutions recognized the need for collaboration to ensure the efficient management of Ghana’s energy resources.
Mr. Kudzedzi commended Ghana Gas for its consistent compliance with PIAC’s oversight requirements, particularly the timely submission of reports, which enhances accountability within the sector.
Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay highlighted Ghana Gas’s long-standing relationship with PIAC and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the Committee’s oversight mandate.
The meeting provided a platform for both parties to discuss critical energy sector issues and explore potential solutions. The renewed commitment from Ghana Gas and PIAC is expected to yield positive outcomes for the energy sector, promoting sustainable development through collaborative efforts.
