December 31,2025 About 2,000 children from the catchment area of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGCL) enjoyed a special Christmas party in Atuabo, where the gas processing plant is situated. This event, the first of its kind, was organized by Madam Judith Adjoba Blay, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GNGCL. The communities that benefited included Atuabo, Asemda Suazo, Anokyi, Nralekpole, Nralekyi, and Baku, along with the Eikwe Ewe community, Sanzule, Krisan, Eikwe Proper, and Old Bakanta. The children were provided with food and drinks and engaged in various outdoor games, all while enjoying music and dancing to promote unity and a sense of belonging. In her address to the cheerful children, Madam Judith Adjoba Blay shared that Christmas is a moment to celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ into the world. It’s essential to bring happiness to children during Christmas,” she stated. She pointed out that this event will now be an annual tradition on the Ghana Gas calendar. Madam Adjoba Blay encouraged the children to focus on their studies and called on parents to nurture them. The CEO assured everyone that the Company would provide support to schoolchildren, especially girls, to help them pursue careers in engineering.

As the first female CEO of Ghana Gas, Madam Adjoba Blay assured President John Dramani Mahama that she would meet expectations and not let him down. She highlighted the company’s commitment to the Local Content Policy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aiming to employ young people in the Western Region and promote development in the area. Mr. Abizi Morkeh, who serves as an aide to the CEO and manages Community Relations and CSR at Ghana Gas, shared that the company initially planned to feed 1,000 children but ended up providing meals for 2,000 children who attended the celebration. He confirmed that every child received food and gifts for Christmas.
