March 16, 2026, In recognition of his significant contributions to promoting and sustaining the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah, the Nvavile family of the late statesman at Nkroful, his birthplace, has expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
According to the Nvavile family of Nkroful, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah’s consistent dedication to preserving the memory of Ghana’s first President has helped transform the Kwame Nkrumah Museum at Nkroful into a state-of-the-art tourist destination.
The commendation was contained in a citation presented to Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah when the head of the Kwame Nkrumah family, Adwobia Kpanyinli, led a delegation of family members on a courtesy call to the MP at his office at the AYA Community Center at Ampain in the Western Region.
During their visit, the family brought along a citation, some cloths, and a large sheep to express their gratitude.
The gesture was meant to encourage Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to continue honouring the memory of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah for his immense contributions to the development of Ghana and the rest of Africa.
For his part, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah reiterated his unwavering commitment to continue advocating and educating the public on the legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has championed the annual celebration of the Nkrumah Festival (Nkrumahfest) at Nkroful on September 21, the birthday of Ghana’s founding leader.
He has overseen the renovation of the Kwame Nkrumah Museum and Mausoleum in Nkroful, and he has built a statue to serve as a lasting tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah at his birthplace.
In Parliament, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah has presented motions and made statements that emphasize the legacy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his transformative agenda, which played a crucial role in driving Ghana’s industrial growth, creating jobs, and advancing infrastructural development.
