August 24, 2025 — The Governing Board of Directors of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited, led by Hon. Kofi Totobi Quakyi, inspected the ongoing planned maintenance works at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
The plant was shut down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for major maintenance works, some of which are being carried out for the first time since the plant began operating about 11 years ago.
The Board expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the ninth day of the 14-day planned schedule. The Board Chairman, Hon. Kofi Totobi Quakyi, is optimistic that the plant will resume operations on schedule.
He commended the technical team for their good work and encouraged the workers to continue protecting the plant, which is a vital state asset.
