Madam Judith Adjobah Blay, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), on Thursday, March 27, 2025, visited the company’s operational enclave to acquaint herself with the activities of management and staff at the facility.
She was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, Ing. Dr. Robert Kofi Lartey; the Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Mr. Richard Kirk-Mensah; and other management staff from the head office in Accra.
The visit formed part of a three-day familiarization tour of the Western Region following her appointment by the President, His Excellency Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
The maiden visit afforded her the opportunity to interact with management and staff within the operational zone of the oil and gas facility.
Madam Adjobah Blay and her team were conducted around the facilities and briefed by the Manager in charge of Construction at Ghana Gas, Mr. Samurai Hagyena.

Places she visited included the Ghana Gas Complex at A.B. Bokazo, the Gas Processing Plant at Atuabo, the Ghana Gas Lodge at Beyin, the Gas Trauma Building at Beyin, and the Anokye Main Line Compressor Station.
Earlier, Madam Adjobah Blay hosted a durbar of chiefs and held a meeting with staff at the operational head office at A.B. Bokazo, where she entreated staff to commit to the core values of the company in order to optimize its productive capacity and reduce waste.
She urged staff to work as a team to streamline operations in the short term to achieve long-term viability.
“Our goal is to maintain, if not improve, our current compensation levels while promoting a culture of resourcefulness and responsible resource management,” she said.
Madam Adjobah Blay added, “Any cost-cutting measures I implement will be strategic decisions aimed at ensuring Ghana Gas’s sustainability, rather than mere individual actions.”
The Acting CEO also urged the management team to remain committed to the company’s mission and the national interest, rather than showing personal loyalty to her.
She promised to engage with stakeholders to make the tough decisions necessary to build team spirit and capabilities that will elevate Ghana Gas to the next level and spearhead the construction of the second phase of the gas processing plant.
