March 3, 2026 — As part of her avowed commitment to healthcare delivery and the well-being of the people of the Jomoro Constituency, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament for the area, has constructed an ultra-modern CHPS compound for the Ghana-Nungua community near Elubo in the Western Region.
The facility replaces the old structure where residents previously sought medical care and will provide first-aid services in times of emergency before referrals are made to other health facilities.
The CHPS compound includes nurses’ quarters to ensure 24-hour healthcare services, a waiting room, a consulting room, an examination room, and an admission room to stabilize patients before referral.
The project forms part of a broader plan to make healthcare delivery accessible to every community within the constituency.
Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Transport, made this known at Ghana-Nungua during a working tour of the constituency.
The tour afforded her the opportunity to inspect some ongoing and completed projects initiated by her office to spearhead development in the Jomoro Constituency.
Hon. Affo-Toffey noted that she is awaiting a list of required medical equipment from the Municipal Director of Health Services to ensure a smooth take-off of the facility before it is commissioned and handed over to the Ghana Health Service later in March this year.
