December 31, 2025, Ms. Judith Adjoba Blay, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited, announced the company’s commitment to launching a mentorship training program aimed at encouraging young girls in the Nzema area to pursue careers in engineering. This initiative is designed to harness their skills for the advancement of Ghana Gas, the country’s leading energy firm. The mentorship program will provide training that aligns with the standards of engineers at Ghana Gas. To support this effort, the company is prepared to fund education for girls in Mathematics, Science, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), from early education through to university. This vision was a key point in the CEO’s speeches during the Christmas festivities in her birthplace.

During the sod-cutting ceremony for a state-of-the-art library and ICT center, which also marked the enstoolment anniversaries of Chief Nana Amihere Blay II and Queen Mother Obahyemaa Assuah Eba II, Ms. Judith Adjoba Blay addressed the chiefs, elders, and residents of A. B. Bokazo. The theme of the event was “Unity, Leadership and Learning: Empowering Generations Through Tradition and Technology.” Ms. Blay emphasized that modern education in the 21st century requires blending tradition with technology. As an engineer and CEO, she serves as an inspiration for young girls in the Nzema area, encouraging them to aspire to become engineers. The CEO of Ghana Gas assured the Chief and the community that the company would support local initiatives, including the construction of the ICT center and the renovation of the basic school. Chief Nana Amihere Blay II urged the CEO to address the town’s developmental needs and committed to ensuring that parents enroll their children in school rather than allowing them to engage in illegal mining activities. The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle also promised to collaborate with the District Assembly to tackle the town’s challenges and development needs.
