The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has donated assorted food items and financial support to Muslim communities in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region to mark the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The donation, made over the weekend, included 360 bags of rice, 21 bags of sugar, several boxes of cooking oil, and a cash donation of GH¢10,000.
Specifically, 50 bags of rice and the cash support were presented to the Asasetre Muslim community. The Aiyinasi North Muslim community received 210 bags of rice and 21 bags of sugar, while 100 bags of rice were distributed among Muslim communities in Kamgbunli, Ebi, AB Bokazo, Alla Bokazo, Azuleloanu, Ambainu, and other surrounding areas.

Thousands of Muslims gathered earlier at Kamgbunli for Salat and Jumu’ah prayers in observance of the Eid al-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah, who also serves as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, praised the Muslim community for their contributions to peace and unity in the district and across the country.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting Islamic activities and ensuring that the needs of the Muslim community are addressed.
“I am grateful for your continued prayers for peace and stability in our nation,” he said. “We will continue to work with you to ensure development, inclusivity, and religious harmony.”
The MP also commended the peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the district, describing it as a model for interfaith tolerance.
