January 4, 2026, Hon. Samuel Yankey, the Assembly Member for the Nkroful electoral area, urged the local community to appreciate the steadfast support from Nzemas living abroad for the development of the Nzema region. He pointed out that those in the diaspora have shown a genuine interest in improving their hometown lately. This remark came after the Ahomu Maanle Diasporan Association made a series of generous donations, including medical equipment and plastic chairs, to the Nkroful and Asasetre Clinics, contributing to better healthcare in the Akomu area.

According to the Assembly Member, the clinic has been in need of expansion long before the District Hospital was built in Nkroful, to handle the daily patient flow in the area. He mentioned that the growth of businesses in the Ellembelle District has stretched the clinic’s resources thin and encouraged
fellow citizens living abroad to collaborate with the Association to provide support for the clinic. He also thanked ADAMUS Mining Company for upgrading the maternity ward and for their generous donation of medical supplies to assist the clinic.
