February 23, 2026 – Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has made a thoughtful donation of various food items to the local Muslim community in Ellembelle to aid them during the holy month of Ramadan. This gesture reflects his long-term commitment to supporting religious institutions and faith-based organizations, a promise he has kept for more than a decade as the area’s MP. The donation consisted of 100 bags of rice, 100 bags of sugar, and 30 boxes of Lipton tea, each containing 48 smaller packs, designated for Muslims in southern Ellembelle. Additionally, there were 50 bags of rice, 50 bags of sugar, and 20 boxes of Lipton tea. During the presentation at the Ellembelle Islamic Headquarters in Kamgbunli, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah who also serves as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology expressed his appreciation to the Muslim community for their steadfast support of the NDC government over the years. He noted that this donation was intended to help them as they observe Ramadan.

Hon Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah asked the Muslim Community to keep praying for peace, love, and unity in the nation. He commended the Muslims for their ability to coexist peacefully and for their religious tolerance. The government acknowledges the important contributions of the Muslim Community to nation-building and urged them to refrain from activities that go against Islamic principles. The MP also encouraged the elders of the Islamic faith to mentor the youth in the area, who are the future leaders. Sheikh Mustapha Kwasi Buah Abdella, the Chief Imam of the Ellembelle District, led the Muslims in prayer at the District mosque in Kamgbunli, in accordance with Islamic traditions. The Chief Imam, representing the Muslim Community, received the items and expressed deep gratitude to the MP for his ongoing support year after year.
